These days you can pretty much tell whether a campaign will fund within the first 3 days of the campaign. You have to have an initial sharp, upward trajectory that points you towards at least 70% of your goal, if not beyond. Most funded campaigns pretty much fund within that spike in the first three days. Then after a week most campaigns have plateaued by then and you can predict what the final total will be as the campaign just creeps up incrementally (which is the cause of that plateau) until the end. Occasionally you'll see a spike from some type of gimmick, like a new limited edition deck or some sort of promotion.

When I saw the Kicktraq chart after the first week for this campaign, I knew it was in trouble. It's a damn shame it doesn't look appear this is going to fund. I like the design and the price is reasonable, especially for foil. I'm wondering if its an issue of being in NZ currency.

The new tucks are great, I'm seriously hoping they're enough to give this campaign a last second push into the promised land.

Alric, I agree with you! And yes I have been planning to cancel this campaign since day 4. Still waiting for some news from Cartamundi...

IF I relaunch the campaign this new Sunset box will be the main edition box. Most likely the blue box will be used for another edition without foil. USPCC Classic could be a stretch goal.

Or I can even print 500 decks only ... but the deck will be 3 times more expensive I don't like it.

The Sunset box is unlocked Let's see if it helps. BTW the only way to keep the prices is to print all 1500 decks with foil.

lol no. They are using some kind of transparent holographics on top of ink.
It's just cold foil. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cold_foil_printing
A layer of real foil overprinted on top. You can use different foil colors using flexo machine but in most cases it is hard and not effective (used for wine and other labels).
But if you need something bigger or with gradients there is a technology to print on foil. if you have my NEO LTD box you can see the difference. A little less shiny
The main advantage - you can apply this foil on a surface without any damage to it unlike hot foil stamping.

Now THAT will definitely lure me into backing! Although I really liked the design of the first 2 Neo decks, I just wasn't fully convinced with the sailor-themed back design of these decks.

So both sides of the cards will be foiled for both editions or just the Ultra?

I already have this level - (6) SIX mixed (2+4), $NZ110. Prices are NZ$11 (US$8) and NZ$22 (US16) here

I have not received a confirmation from Cartamundi so trying to boost this current campaign. There is no easy way to launch a new one. I have a backup plan for sure ... but the USPCC deck will not be produced if I relaunch. Instead two decks with foil. The Classic edition could be converted into the Sunset with the latest colorful box . Borders, foil on both sides of the card. Same foil pattern will be used for both decks to keep the price reasonable. So the back design will be the same but different colors (more silver-blue for the Ultra edition) and no borders for Ultra. The Ultra edition will be kept as is. It's a plan in case if I relaunch. Also I need to set a new goal to $20k so trying to find out how

As much as I prefer the USPCC, it's probably best to stick with just a single printer. Past campaigns have proven to me that working with multiple printers just cause logistical headaches that aren't worth the effort. Even Uusi had problems when they printed with USPCC and EPCC for their Pagan Tarot campaign.

sinjin7 I agree with you. But EPCC is another story. In most cases two printers means just one sea shipping as shipping from USPCC is like drinking a cup of coffee.

A new update will be posted soon. I had 3 options:

1. to relaunch (don't really like it)
2. to print 1000 decks with foil vs 1500
3. to print 750 decks with foil (and two boxes) and 750 without foil.

Options #2 and #3 are expensive.

(---) #2 ALL current levels should be locked down and there is a NZ$4 pay jump per deck to almost US$20 (NZ$27) for new backers only
(+++) #3 all $22 levels will be removed and I'll rise some prices for NEW backers only from current 22-24 to NZ$24-27 per deck.

Finally - I like #2 more so I'll limit the print run to 750-850 decks with foil. Only 300 decks left including my private reserve. I hope this release will be sold out on KS.

These are pretty cool. I wasn't a backer of the first Neo campaign, but this one has a lot of good things going on. Kudos.

We've just backed for one, as promised Montenzi. we're obviously interested in the double-sided enhancements, but I must say I love the ink artwork too! Keep up the good work and good luck.

Let's get this deck funded.

Correct me if I'm wrong, by all means, but I believe this is another deck that is trying to achieve something not done before. If that's the case, I believe it holds a lot of value for the development of the playing cards industry. Hence I've given it my full support (and I spoke personally to Montenzi about it, on manufacturing and price aspects). I'll do so the same with any future deck that is technologically or process-wise ground breaking.

VXD thanks. Not exactly. EPCC uses one Chinese factory to produce decks with same cold foil. I have direct quotes from this factory ... and know what? Cartamundi offers better deals and flexibility. They are 1 of 2 TOP brands in this business. They are able to do the same and even better (I hope).

Key features of this project:

1. They will apply cold foil on both sides of the cards
2. They will apply foil on a paper with linen structure... It's really hard. It was the main reason why I went with Cartamundi!!! If you have EPCC's decks with Perfecta foil you'll see almost smooth stock. So trust me - Cartamundi is one or two steps ahead!
3. Almost all elements are foil
4. The deck is playable as there is no damage to the cards.

This project is new but not unique as I think they printed Regalia decks using same technology. Same for new Stockholm 17 deck (borders only).

But I have never seen decks with all art elements (front and back) with foil. Lotrek is the exception but it's another market as his decks are 4 times more expensive. $80 vs $18.

p.s. have no idea what Metalllux is but they are not able to apply foil full bleed. One side only. <---wrong. Plus lot''s of restrictions.

If you have my NEO LTD box - look at this text. It''s foil... Can you do the same using hot foil stamping?

One small correction...Metalluxe can be applied to both sides as was done in the Royal Bee Metalluxe Deck that was done for China.

Ah really! Did not know! ok. I have their brochure and they mention that foil can only be applied to card backs.

Bruno, they have golden inks and real foil (Metalluxe). Honeybee (KS) is the Metalluxe. I think they use hot foil. Otherwise I don't understand why they have issues to apply foil with perfect registration/quality.
