Here's what I'm talking about.alvinhy wrote:I took your valuable feedback ill show you a screenie later![]()
I was thinking of going from something like this:
![Image](http://i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u570/RSLancastr/spade_a2_zpsc27edb34.jpg)
...to something like this:
![Image](http://i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u570/RSLancastr/spade_a3_zpsaac4bd7a.jpg)
Of course, most of the gang here would prefer something like this:
![Image](http://i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u570/RSLancastr/spade_a4_zps7bb41108.jpg)
...although I doubt the USPCC would go for it.

Check the authority setting on your Photobucket album.

Weird, if I just use the URL, I get to it and see it.

Re: Sishou Deck Design
Try $8 a deck, $15 for 2. This is what we consider (I hope i represent the general consensous), good reasonable pricing. And definitely do an early bird to get your project started, like maybe 100 $6, 100 $7. Just my humble opinion.alvinhy wrote: That is so weird!!!! Like, totally! Ohh my gawd! Re: Sishou Deck Design
Its really impossible to go that low because of shipping prices in the UK.
As I am based in UK shipping to the US will aleady cost me a lot of money.

If they do, then they're pretty decent.

I thought u were based in the us, hence the prices, if these were prices that included int shipping its decent. Oh and round down the figures to 12/22 lolMagikFingerz wrote:Does that mean those prices would include international shipping?alvinhy wrote:Its really impossible to go that low because of shipping prices in the UK.

Re: Sishou Deck Design
What stands out at me the most is the pledges. I would draft the pledges more along the lines of other Kickstarters. For example, you list "(~$12.69usd) 1 red deck (+£15 per poster) // Free Shipping"
I would, instead, make a note in the main page that all shipping is free, and instead list "1 Red Deck, ~12.69 USD". Remove the poster reference, as it's already clearly listed in the main page. Same thing for the rest of the pledges.
Apart from that, under About This Deck, you list
"This deck inspired by the ancient Chinese mythology beasts. The dragon, Phoenix, Tiger, and Tortoise." Capitalise Dragon. Also, to be grammatically correct, it should read "This deck is inspired by the ancient Chinese mythological/mythical beasts: The Dragon, Phoenix, Tiger, and Tortoise". I'd be hesitant to list them as mythological, since two of them are real animals, and instead list them as Legendary, but that's an artistic choice for this type of project. From a brief skim, I didn't see much else glaringly obvious, but I'm a little preoccupied with other issues at the moment.
[Edit]
Anything in [] should be removed, <> added.
Now that I'm finished with other issues, "SiShou - Four beasts of [the] ancient Chinese history. A fully custom designed deck of playing cards inspired by the four mythical beasts<.>"
"<A> fully custom designed deck of playing cards printed by the United States Playing Card Company." OR "Fully custom designed decks of playing cards printed by the United States Playing Card Company."
"Just so that you have better understanding of how I created this deck[.]<;> This deck inspired by the ancient Chinese [mythology]<mythological> beasts. The dragon, Phoenix, Tiger, and Tortoise. I have incorporated each beast into a corresponding suit.
Creating this deck [is]<was> not an easy task, I [have]<had> to proof read each design to perfect it. Even the face cards spacing and layout was edited more than 10 times. A lot of effort has been placed in designing this deck hoping that it would appeal to you all."

its the same vice versa. Fixed price no shipping costs seems to be the best in my opinion.

Re: Sishou Deck Design
Yeah this is a bit of a shame as those of us in the UK would finally get a break on shipping and instead paying the same for everyone.MagikFingerz wrote:What about pledges with only UK shipping?
BTW, a bit curious about this one. Would seem to me that the most sense would be to have the USPCC ship to a fulfillment house in the US for your USA orders rather than bulk shipping all decks from US to UK and back to US again. Have USPCC given you a shipping quote for 5000 decks to UK and have you included VAT in your pricing? Almost seems like it might not be enough now and I've seen a couple (non-card related) KS horror stories recently.
Re: Sishou Deck Design
Let's keep this discussion about the DESIGN of the deck.
If you would like to talk about the Kickstater aspect or talk about the deck in general please use the topic below...

Re: Sishou Deck Design
Alvin, if you are still working on ideas for the two Additional cards (I think you referred to them as "gaff cards",but they don't have to be gaffs), I would like to suggest that you make one of them a Title card.
I have always felt that a nice Title card - with the name of the deck, credits for the desiogner & artist, and perhaps a sentence or two explaining the concept of the deck - adds a classy touch to a deck.
