Sun Tzu's Deck: Live on KS

I like the back design. I love that the faces match that design in different and also great-looking colors. They're going to be printed by USPCC, which many people prefer. They're $12, which isn't great, but it isn't asking too much either.

Only negatives I can think of are that USPCC registration isn't consistently great for border-less designs, and many people may not be fans of removing pips in favor of other "artwork". I personally like the no-pip change here.

Edit: Also, I posted a comment on the project asking if the same quotes were re-used for the different suits, and the project creator said, no, each card has a different quote. So, I'm glad about that.

Yeah, typically, I avoid this kind of deck (Bruce Lee deck, anyone?), but this one really sings to me.

Well that's a different idea but I don't like background design on faces, it just doesn't seem good to me.

Every time I hear about Sun Tzu now I always think of this Twitter thread.

If you're a student of Chinese aphorisms in general or Sun Tzu in particular I can see the appeal as a study aid, and the calligraphy is at least good, but I don't think it succeeds as a deck of cards.

I honestly do quite like this deck, but seriously? You switch to MPC and also increase the price? $28 (in dollaridoos) shipped to get an MPC deck is simply out of the question, I can almost get a print run of 1 deck from them myself for that.

So quality down and price up? Yeah really makes me want to run out and buy this deck now. Seems to have turned off half of his previous backers. Good thing his goal is so low. Then again i'm confused as to how he got so much funding with so little pledging. The match doesn't seem to add up to me.
