I decided to go through my playing cards the other day... Wow this collection has gotten quite large from where it started. ALL KWP decks or something touched by KWP...
This is only half!!! I have two sets of all of em... A buddy of mine has me holding on to his as well.
Any guesses on what this collection might be worth?

Did Jackson have anything to do with the Americana designs?
And what are the ones behind the Hives? The green and black decks? The black one looks to have a red strip?

Never mind, just realised they're dynasty decks.
As for value, I'd estimate $3,500-$4,000

Yup dynasty! I only picked them up because of the hive decks... Nice looking tho! I collect only KWP decks... If Jackson breathes on it I buy it. If I allowed myself to collect others I would end up broke... Figured it was a fair trade off... Collect KWP or collect everyone else...
@ Silvester... Thanks for the estimate!

I've just ordered a few nice card collecting boxes, cost a few shiny ounces of silvers. Will post a KWP collection pic when they arrive. My collection is missing a few pieces though. Those being:
The casino chips
The hounds dealer button
A few of the superior colours (open to buying a few of the spares you have towered there)
A Texas legacy, black diamond Tactical and the Scarlett legacy,

Nice looking collection!ccralleo wrote:I decided to go through my playing cards the other day... Wow this collection has gotten quite large from where it started.
At the back there's a pile of decks about a dozen high. I sometimes store decks that way in a cupboard - is there any risk of damaging the cards if they are stored that way?
What is the best and safest way to "stack" them in a cupboard?

Re: Wow this collection has grown...
Decks are best stored flat so the cards lay flat in their tucks and are less likely to bow, so the postition is fine. The danger of stacking so many is in any weak point of a tuck box buckling under the weight. Especially if the pile is shifted and the corner weight from the tucks above puts pressure on a not corner area of a tuck box below.
When I've stored in a cupboard I've put the decks in solid boxes and stacked the boxes so the weight isn't being carried by the tucks. Otherwise you need shelves, or shelf inserts, to break up the cupboard space and make the stacks shorter. There's some worthy Ikea solutions in this thread:
