Silver Slipper Casino in Paradise, Nevada that operated from September 1950 to November 29, 1988shaitani wrote:I know this deck is supposed to be an ode to vintage Vegas casinos, and maybe my gambling history is rusty, but what does this specifically reminisce? For example I know Glamour Nuggets are supposed to be like the Golden Nugget.
I feel like there's an old casino logo or movie reference or something I'm missing, can anyone fill me in?
Yup this is it, never heard of this casino. Seems like it was bought and torn down to make a parking lot, but the sign is still alive and on display somewhere.shermjack wrote:Silver Slipper Casino in Paradise, Nevada that operated from September 1950 to November 29, 1988
There were only 5 colors made for the Silver Slipper decks...I believe that the red and black were most common, the blue and green came as a set and are semi-rare and the purple is most rare. The actual decks are much more scarce than the Golden Nugget decks and can easily sell for over 500 in mint condition and even up to a couple thousandshaitani wrote: Anyway, this is pretty cool, time to take a closer look at the vintage cards and compare to the available colors of this ode. If it doesn't have as many colors as Glamour Nugget, I may actually try to pick up a pair.
Huh, wow. Any idea how many of each there are?shermjack wrote:There were only 5 colors made for the Silver Slipper decks...I believe that the red and black were most common, the blue and green came as a set and are semi-rare and the purple is most rare. Also, any idea if this red+black pair on KS is a second printing or if they are just selling existing stock?
