Time to spin to win at Theory 11

I ran a quick experiment just for fun. I got my free spin for today and received "No Reward" for the second day in a row. Then I purchased four $0.99 card tricks to get four spins of the wheel. I got three more "No Rewards" and then 100 points on my last spin. So, basically I won fifty cents on 6 spins, four of which I paid for, which I will not do again. Looks like I will do the one free spin each day and hope for the best. Experiment Result = FAIL.

I tried the same experiment last year and got the same results. I am also only doing the free spins only this year. So far I've got only "No Reward"s and 1 free spin which resulted in a "No reward"

Last year was not bad, I have earned around 1500 points with only free spins.

This year I have spinned around 5 times and I collected 200 points. Still a long way to go to get something from the Archive

That's pretty cool. Somewhat better than the zilch spin I got yesterday. They can't all be winners, but with that kind of spin they don't really all have to be losers either.

Last year I earned 1050 elite points with no previous purchases. That worked out to about $3.50. It took me a year to spend it and ended up almost paying for the shipping on the two NPH decks I bought.

This year, 674 points, including the points from the NPH purchase. Hardly worth the trouble.

I didn't get a whole lot of points out of the spins, didn't win any decks, didn't win any merchandise. I did have a whole lot of fun spinning the wheel. I think that's ultimately what it's about, a good time. I'll be looking forward to it next year and I'll be happily spinning away with my cup of cocoa or coffee glad the event is available. Win or Lose, it's good stuff.
