New Limited Edition Playing Cards - Nobel Deck - LIVE on KS
I'm about to launch my deck, and want to get some feedback from the community. I've been designing this deck from scratch for a long time and it's finally time to bring them to the people to see what you think.
The Kickstarter Project is not live, but the preview link is http://littlefile.com/ks

Re: New Limited Edition Playing Cards - Nobel Deck
I like it, the circles around the pips is a cool look as well as the gold courts. That said, this idea of a fancy gold deck has been done many times before (Monarchs, Artisans, Medallion, Collectors... etc) so im not sure how unique an idea it is. Ill probably end up backing for one regardless as again it looks to be very well done, and I'm a sucker for USPCC kickstarters. Have you considered a version with white backs instead of black, I personally tend to prefer white backs as they dont show wear as much when used.

Yes, my wife actually suggested the same thing. I think I'm going to end up making both versions and use one as a stretch goal. Thanks for the great feedback - that's exactly what I was hoping for!JuFiN wrote:Have you considered a version with white backs instead of black, I personally tend to prefer white backs as they dont show wear as much when used.

Looks very nice but be aware that there was already another deck produced with this name, could cause some confusion.

Re: New Limited Edition Playing Cards - Nobel Deck
@jerichoholic - Yes sir, I'm aware. I actually started using the name before the other deck was produced. I've also owned the domain nobledeck.com before any of those decks were launched. I sincere thanks for the heads up!
@joeblow - Thanks! I'll be sure to run a solid spell / grammar check before posting. Thanks for checking it out.

It's nice, but I think I like the courts from your other deck, Royals, more than these.

There is already a deck named Noble:

Re: New Limited Edition Playing Cards - Nobel Deck
Thanks for the heads up. I actually launched the project back in July 2013. After I pulled the plug, I renamed the project Noble Deck. I purchased the domain http://www.NobleDeck.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; in October 2014 and then the other Noble project was launched about 6 months later. I hope that helps clarify the timeline - I understand it can be a little confusing. Hopefully there will be room for two Noble Decks.PrincessTrouble wrote:There is already a deck named Noble:

Re: New Limited Edition Playing Cards - Nobel Deck - LIVE on
Hey guys, I have a little update on the Kickstarter project. I know there are a lot of collectors out there, so I wanted to add something special to this project. Each Noble deck will be hand signed and numbered to give it a nice authentic touch. This option won't be available after the campaign ends. I'm really wanting this to be a special deck, so if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear.

Hey guys, I just wanted to post a little update on the Kickstarter project. Just over 60% of the way there, so it's moving along. Also, I just added a new item today. It's a special edition box. I still want to add a few more things, so let me know if you have any suggestions. I'm still waiting on the samples of the coins - so more to come on that.

Re: New Limited Edition Playing Cards - Nobel Deck - LIVE on
Hey guys, I just wanted to post a little update. One of my favorite things about using Kickstarter is being able to interact with hundreds of different people. I've been taking all of the feedback from the past few weeks and putting it to work. The number one request had to do with the court (face) cards. My original concept was to use the base of the card design and subtly redesign the elements within. Over the past week, I've been working on revising the faces and continuing to add more detail. The changes are meant to be subtle, I didn't want to get too far from the original concept. I believe this will enhance the overall concept and provide a more authentic deck of cards.
Just 10 days to go! Wish me luck!

Was on the fence about this deck cratestyle. Liked how you redid the court elements but your latest face tweaking pushed me to YES.
Are the lines are off the courts now? Thanks.

Re: New Limited Edition Playing Cards - Nobel Deck - LIVE on
Thanks RichK - I'm glad to head you've reconsidered. I really take feedback seriously, so I'm happy to hear most people are onboard with the tweaks. As for the lines, I'm going to see how the other court adjustments play out, but for now, I think I'll be leaving them off. I might also try to beef up some of the swords and other elements, so I want to be sure it doesn't get too crowded.RichK wrote:Was on the fence about this deck cratestyle. I'll post the other courts soon - and I'm more than open to hearing feedback. I really do want this deck to be something special. Thanks again for reaching out.
