Yanno... after getting mine and seeing it in person... This doesn't seem so out of reason. I still thing $250 is closer to the mark, but not as outrageous as some I have seen on here..

Never heard of these, but i don't think that's worth that much for a opened deck.

I take that price to mean: "I don't *really* want to sell this, but I can be persuaded."

I doubt he'll (or she'll) get that particular asking price, but if so... well, more power to them. :-)

If they are as old as indicated, perhaps my comments are unfounded as most of us won't know what was printed on a box back then. However, the box seems like it is the type used for a souvenir deck of cards - not casino-used or casino-intended cards.. Also, the cards are not cancelled either. I am just unconvinced at this point that these are casino cards.

That would be like this one:

Are these decks really that rare and worth $125/deck??

People can sell their decks for the prices they want but they're just not doing it right. . . . I'm not going to reveal how, just my secret that works. They're focused too much on greed.

I bet soon we'll see the Red Azucar decks on KS for $300 a piece, probably most of them. Most of the backers who got them are likely only doing so to try and profit on them which seems to be the only point in producing them as well.

For that amount of money, they could at least spin an entertaining yarn about why it's "lucky".

Must be due to the cost of getting the rights / approval from them (those alive) or their family (those who died). :?:

These are half the price of the other deck; a real bargain:

Well in the seller's defense, the second auction is for 270 decks. Still expensive per deck but that brings the total price more into reality.

Oops, my bad. Thanks for pointing that out. I checked out the $6,000 auction and noticed it was it was for 540 decks, which works out to about $11.11 per deck, the same as the as 270 for $3,000. The sellers have different names but I'm guessing they are the same person. In any case, I can't imagine who would buy such large amounts of this deck.
