Green Aristocrat Banknotes

Unread post by jerichoholic »

So I just came across this through an Art of Play email, new from Magic Apple. I'm wondering why it's not printed on an Aristocrat stock though, oh well looks nice. Not thrilled with AOP charging $17! to ship 1 deck to Canada. D&D/AOP are really starting to rip people off with shipping. :x

But you can save a whole 70 cents off the $7 price with the code FIREWORKS for a day or two. :D lol

I love the vintage Aristocrat 727 Banknotes, tried to get as many of the various backs in mint condition as I could find (Back no.2 is my favorite) and was very happy the USPCC decided to reprint Back no.1. The only thing I didn't like was the red tuck box reprint for the red deck. In my mind, all Aristocrat 727's should only come in the navy blue tuck box, regardless of the color of the deck, like the original vintage decks.

Speaking of tuck boxes, I find it curious they wouldn't show a picture of the tuck box - is it blue or green? Is it blinged out in any way? At the end of the day, I can't find myself supporting Dan & Dave or Art of Play in any form, so these are a likely pass for me. How they treated the tuck box may change my mind though. . .

Has anyone purchased these, do they handle similar to the 2011 red and blue versions?

I got the green version, and they handle the same as the red/blue reprints. And to answer Sinjin's question, the tucks are green as well.
