Vintage Plaid v2 from D&D
Katso käyttäjän @bucktwins twiitti: https://twitter.com/bucktwins/status/72 ... 40160?s=09" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
New Vintage Plaid deck coming from D&D this spring. I am not sure if this will be just a reprint with a new Ace of Spades or something like Vintage Plaid v2 though. I think that we will see if we need this new thread or should this be just on the old thread.
As for the cards, I think that Vintage Plaids are perhaps the best minimalist deck on the market and D&D are about the only people who can make a minimalist/simple deck that I can like (I also have a soft spot for Ace Fulton's Casino decks, although I don't think that there are many fans for them here )
It could be worse.
Edit: The link leads to Twitter. Sorry about the Finnish there, I wrote this on my phone, so adding pictures is a bit tricky.

I dream of a world where wars are fought only by having dance offs. I also dream that a Finnish playing card designer would exist. The former seems more likely to happend.

Re: Vintage Plaid v2 from D&D
I have always been on the lookout for vintage Bicycle full bleed plaid decks from the early 1900's. For me, they're just really classy with that iconic pattern. I was pretty pumped up when I heard the Buck twins were going to reprint the vintage plaid backs. For the most part, I was pretty satisfied with them. The blue deck was fine, but the colors of the red deck was off for me. Hopefully these new decks aren't just reprints of their v.1, but new decks with a modified plaid pattern with better coloring.

Re: Vintage Plaid v2 from D&D
These will for sale at tomorrow when D&D's new webiste launches.
I'm curious, anyone here going to buy any?
Oh and by the way, happy mid summer! According to Finnish folklore, if you tomorrow look into a well, a lake etc while being naked, you will see the face of your future husband/wife. Also if you sleep with seven different flowers under your pillow, you will see your future spouse in your dreams. Being naked helps with that spell too.

Have you done or believe in this? So someone can be in the basement, buck naked, look into a bucket of water to see a reflection of future spouse?

Of course they work, why would anyone use a spell that does not work?Bikefanatic wrote:Räpylätassu wrote:

If you don't want any visions, running on a summery field tomorrow night will grant you good fortune in future marriage. Again, you have to be naked.

Re: Vintage Plaid v2 from D&D
These decks are already printed. Dan and Dave had sent a brick them in their care package for the Toronto Playing Card Collector Meeting hep a couple weeks back.
I handed out over 120 decks, 30+ coins, metal plates, and a bunch of 2 deck Aquilla sets, stickers, rubber bracelets, and T-shirts!
It was a great day.

Re: Vintage Plaid v2 from D&D
They only release the Red? no Blue? Would hate to pay shipping twice...

Re: Vintage Plaid v2 from D&D
I'm convinced these guys skim extra money off shipping. Why would they only reprint the red version, you know they have the blue version already (probably stored in their magical attic) that they'll release later, so they can charge twice for shipping.
It's also laughable that they're still hawking their S&M set, how many years has it been since the (never to be reprinted) reprints were first produced? And they still haven't sold out. . .
