What will lose shine and which part is sensitive? The card backs? The faces, etc? Could they fade out?

No, they cannot fade out. The varnish may lose shine if rubbed with force and this will affect handling. The funny thing is that from the day I wrote about it, the varnish seems to have further cured (apparently it needed a lot of days) so this sensitivity is not so evident unless you get really nasty with the deck. Anyway, it's an experimental varnish and I recommend that you handle it gently.In any case I wouldn't call it a flourisher's deck...

No offense Lotrek but I hope a lot of people are mad at not getting Imperial and Black Mass so they don't buy Sacred so I can get one BUT THEN they change their minds and buy Sacred.

I completely understand why you're doing Sacred like this and can't imagine the physical, emotional, and financial losses you've gone through but am thrilled for you that you have a great printer and any other people involved in card/tuck production! Best of luck on future projects...I'll be there.

Testing coating, cardstock, etc. in laboratory will show different result then to produce full run of decks. If you want to see actual quality of cards, you need to print all run, then you'll see all pros and cons.

But as Noir says - there may be discrepancies you that do not emerge in very small batches - imagine the press prints each subsequesnt sheet 1000th of mm differently each time - you'd never know in the first 10, but it be really obvious on sheet 1000!

Plus, you have the "risk" of a successful experiment. So you may pay a full press setup to print 100 sheets and then you kick yourself because you didn't print more! In this print I tested many things, including a certain cutting method (it's very good but it needs a few tweaks). You cannot judge by 100 sheets how it goes. It may by chance seem great or accidentally go wrong. Only with a larger number you can be sure whether it's a failure or a success.

Me too. https://www.halfmoonplayingcards.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; has an issue but http://www.halfmoonplayingcards.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; does not. It's an issue in all the browsers I tried (Chrome, Firefox, IE). Lotrek, you need to look at your secure protocol configuration/certificate on your web site. If we're going to be entering payment info on your site, the https link needs to work.

I tried to keep the price as low as possible given the high cost of printing and tuck production, rarity of the deck and amount of post-production personal work involved. Apart from printing, all the rest was done by me personally -from tuck assembly and composing the decks card by card to cutting and packaging. The definition of Signature deck...

Shipment by registered mail for 1 deck is $7 but it drops considerably for 2 decks upwards. The Greek postal service pricing is a bit weird, going up every half kilo after the first 500grms.

Soooo, after careful consideration on buying two or one I ended up buying three... Shipment for one deck to spain of germany was $7 and for the three it was $10, Now I tried out montana just for fun and it's $11 for more than one deck. So the difference is not too big this time around

It's nothing against these decks or even Lotrek (I have great faith that he'll deliver a beauty of a deck), but even though I'm a couple hundred into his other project it's just that I felt the need to cut purchasing playing cards from my budget. These are no exception to that decision so that is why I'm not purchasing any.
