As far as I'm aware this is the same deck, however previously only a few were made available at the 52+Joker convention. it was never released to the general public before now.

What costs? Nobody else on Kickstarter does this and consider you are printing most of the decks in house, I don't understand it. I expect tactics like this from Ellusionist or Conjuring Arts. I just like i'm going to end up with 4 extra decks that i'll have to sell myself later on.

Not to mention the additional shipping costs with additional decks that backers have to pay for!

I've seen many projects that only have the LE deck in higher tiers...

There's actually an explanation to all of this. Now that I'm not confused any more, the Gold deck has already been created. GW can't (or shouldn't) make a tier in their campaign for just the Gold deck because it's technically not new (by that I mean it already exists which would break the "KS isn't a store" rule). Now I suppose they could have made a tier with just 3 decks- red, blue, and gold and while that might not be considered breaking the rule it would still be damn close. Offering it as a "reward" of sorts for buying a half-brick or brick doesn't seem out of place. A way to make more money and/or get rid of stock? Sure, but nothing new to the playing card world. Whether it's right or wrong I'm not going to get into _AGAIN_. We've discussed playing card sales ethics 'til we're blue in the face on this forum. More on topic, what hasn't been said yet is that 2 decks shipped (in the US) only costs $12, $6 each. I for one support that price!

For what it's worth, I think most of us are just wanting the gold deck. For me personally, I'll just grab the gold deck on the after market by the end of the year...

For what the price of the gold deck may be in the aftermarket, it might just be worth it to get the half brick or brick now and sell the rest of the regulars or gift them or use them.
