Or perhaps they are trying to make a quick buck or something. Or the creator of the deck is trying to make a quick buck. Seems like someone is trying to con someone with this one. Stay away from these dollar store knockoffs.
Victor, did you get your decks?

No not for a while yet. I'm going by a review I've seen and what a few others have been saying.

I do have to wonder why Murphys would be a product with very limited information especially on the producer. It's not any different than any of us would do before getting a deck.

Hey, at least the tuck doesn't say Expert at the Bard Table or something.
Yes, I might be the guy you remember from that thing at that place way back when.

I got my deck and I'm not impressed. They fan like shit and are thin and papery. Nothing like what I've come to expect from the Taiwan printer that EPCC, LPCC, and BPCC use.

Andrea, do you have a Wastelands deck? Because with that in one hand and the EATCT deck in the other, they're identical. I"m not saying your wrong, but this deck and its background get stranger and stranger. I kind of feel like sending you mine just to see if its the same :)

At least Jackson spelled "Wasteland" correctly

Got these today. I agree that, fresh out of the box, they don't fan very well, but after playing with them for several minutes the fanning has improved and is almost like a typical EPCC/LPCC deck. The smell that was present in the first several decks out of the Taiwan plant is there and the feel is similar as well. I am leaning towards the Taiwan plant as well, but the finish/stock is closer to the early decks out of the plant and not some of the stuff we've seen recently - although Anthony's comment does seem to indicate that Wastelands is similar too. I didn't get any Wasteland decks so I can't compare. Does anyone know what finish the Wasteland decks used?

Wastelands was a slightly thinner version of previous Master Finish decks, closer to Classic Finish flexibility, but with a different coating, against the ZEN deck they were really close, against the Wastlenad deck, in my opinion, it's the same. And I'll agree with Flyers, you do need to work these a bit, just like many Taiwan decks, but I also noticed it got that same odd "Break" in the deck, that bows part of the pack....with that little "Snap Back", that you also need to "Work" out of some Taiwan decks. I know some of you know what I'm talking about.

Let me also say, Haim's name came from Murphy's, so I took that at face value. At that time, I did have a message out to Haim as well and he actually got back to me last night stating the same thing, that he had nothing to do with this deck, he asked for a link so he could see the deck and when I explained who I got my info from and was just looking for clarification and or information, I got crickets. I also reached out to a source I trust at Murphy's that I really didn't want to bother, and the only information I was given was that they were purchased from their overseas distributor. I'm still 99.999999999% sure these came out of the Taiwan plant, it may be a subtle variation of the Master Finish, but again, in my opinion, that's what it is.

I'm not here to debate quality, and I'm no expert, everyone has their own opinions of decks, stocks and finishes, but boy this deck has a lot of questions attached to it, none of which are trade secrets, but nobody seems to want to answer them............crazy.

I received mine and I honestly don't think it is that bad. I like the box design and the back design. They are thin yet snappy in my hands. Takes some breaking in, but they feel and faro almost the same as any LPCC or EPCC decks I have used. I personally like these quite a bit. The spelling error is a bummer but it is kind of funny to be honest. I would say these are like a 3.5/5 for me. To each their own.

What you are describing there, my friend, is what is known as a click-bend. I think it happens when the humidity at the factory is drastically different from the humidity - or lack of humidity - at the location of the store that sells the deck or of the buyer. Or maybe it has something to do with the adhesive used to fuse the layers of paper into the stock at the papermill. Whatever the cause, I'm seeing it happen a lot with EPCC decks lately and its freakin annoying. Faro'ing with a deck that has a click-bend is especially frustrating, especially if the direction of the click-bend is the opposite direction to the cut of the edges of the cards.

Now I know what to call it, lol
Thanks alric, I knew someone would know what I was talking about.

I wasn't able to find my Wasteland (must be buried in a box). I'll have to hunt some more for it. However, I did the compare these with my Fat Boys and they are very similar. I can't fan the Fat Boys worth a crap either, but my son loves those decks. So to each his own.

The quality isn't as bad as some seem to indicate but isn't as good as other decks either.
