I went all in (Completionist Tier) with this because of the EU friendly handling. Now I am looking at $100+ extra fees.
I will have to take it but it hurts. My only excuse is that this is really my only campaign in years so my card budget feels not that guilty lately. But ouch!

Well originally the channel was about high quality production deck reviews and now it is a podcast for card geeks. I think it targets different segments of card lovers. It makes sense that detailed long format talking target smaller audience.

Also I missed the launch stream hype like with the Tempest. In general, TGW brand was built around quality audiovisual content and that part diminished. :( Well there was a launch stream...it was pretty fun actually, Even had a giveaway. Ooops, totally missed that one! Happy to be a Completionist here. I really haven't buy any cards last year. My last KS was Under the Moon by Jocu in summer 2022. My wallet approves this to be a bit more crazy.

Re: KWP "12 Days of Christmas" 2023
I never was KWP completionist. Being from EU that was always a bit pricey endeavor. But I have quite a lot of decks because I was a subscriber (std, ltd, gilded) for two whole years (June 2019 to October 2021). Now looking at the orders and I've spent $5000 before VAT applied. Now I feel like makin...

Re: TGW presents The Beetlebacks designed by Widakk
The beetle backs is as simple as I'm ever likely to get. Other than maybe my releases with Kevin coming soon and Parlour V which won't be as many editions (conceivably). I always release a red/blue standard pair. I always have a black and gold foil deck. I always have a dynastinae and prism. The Le...

Yeah, what do you guys do with a brick of decks? I'm genuinely curious. The only brick I have is Tale of the Tempest and that's because Lotrek played a role in it. So far I only grabbed Parlour, Tempest and now Beetlebacks bricks. All the single decks I get I open to appreciate the cards and then t...

I am just deciding between "Dynastinae + brick" or "Completionist". But I have bricks from Tempest and Parlour and never grabbed Prism. So maybe for the sake of consistency I will go the brick way again. The Completionist tier includes a brick, if that helps your decision :) Yea...

One thing I do regret is not buying a freaking gross of the Tale of the Tempest Wylenti decks for $6 each when you could add them without limit. I only got six. What was I thinking? My two Parlour brick sets are a big highlight. Somehow I managed the lottery and got bricks #002 and #009. Yeah baby!...

That effort hasn't had time to reach its conclusion yet through. It wouldn't be that long since he wrapped the November and December decks plus his existing commitments to the LOTR decks and whatever the January(?) licensed KS is. I never had any of these decks and I like foil so it looks like Im t...

Re: The Goldsmith by Kevin Cantrell (Cantrell A Priori)
Some gilding better than others - the Butterfly gilded are superior and the latest Dante gilded deck seems to be holding up to abuse Funny you mentioned Butterflies because it's a nice example where gilding really doesn't affect handling that much but it definitely affects the deck longevity. The g...

So now I realized that there's no design for the brick box unless the campaign hits 350%. That's pretty unfortunate because I hoped I will add another beautiful brick to the TGW series and 350% seems unreachable at the moment.

Maybe even more problematic then that the shipping is expensive is that it seems unfair. It's that it's FREE in Germany and then really HUGE just behind the border of Germany. If it just matched the real pricing, no one would complain I guess.

I feel it worthwhile to point out that in the last campaign, TGW also included the Wylenti deck as an add on for the exorbitant price of $6. One of my Wylenti decks at this moment is on my desk underneath an Eye of the Ocean gilded Solis deck. I am going for a five deck set because I too really lik...

Re: The Successor by TGW/Kevin Cantrell
Certainly if everything was cherry-pickable, buyers would be happy. But I’m pretty sure the economy of the campaign could really go flatline. I would also be happy to pick up the Prism deck but I respect the decision to make it exclusive. I personally don’t want to buy some blink box to get it. I do...

Looking at my shipping tables, i didn't add a european union distinction. Which I should have. The EU got lumped in with Rest of World. What that means is that for someone in Singapore the price of shipping is probably a little LESS that what they'd normally expect. I cannot remove tiers or alter t...

Re: The Successor by TGW/Kevin Cantrell
As I mentioned. My shipping rates were based on Lorenzo’s model for EOTO. I do realize that $6 for one deck feels like a lot. I’m taking the necessary steps to mitigate that and make sure folks are able to maximize their dollar spent. Adjustments are all I can do. Shipping is terrifying as a creato...
