Re: Edgar Allan Poe Playing Cards reprint

I would like to do a second edition with a symmetrical back design, as well as a new tuck design. I would print with USPCC again. Is the Bicycle logo a must have?

Edgar Allan Poe Playing Cards reprint

I have had a lot of interest and inquiries, asking if I intend to reprint this deck. It has been sold out for years now and apparently a lot of people still want it. I'm looking for some input from UC to see if it's worth the undertaking.
Thanks in advance for your input,
Dave

Re: Something new

Thank you so much for all of the input. I'm going to design a few more court cards before revisiting the deck back with the idea that it will match the courts a little more.

Re: Something new

The working title for this deck is "Revelry". I plan on doing a roaring twenties version of it in the future, maybe even this campaign. I'm not committed to the time periods yet. That being said, I made the design less cartoony and added some detail. I also mocked up a variant. I'm trying ...

Something new

These are new designs for a project I will hopefully be launching in February or March. The idea is to have two decks with different time period courts, same characters. Looking forward to your input.

Here they are with no frame. I tweaked the colors as well. Personally I prefer the frame, but I would love to hear more from you all. I don't mind input and or criticism.

Great comments from everyone! I added a subtle outline and changed the frame to a gold metallic ink as well as expanded the border. I think the gold will help it pop a little more and also it will work better with the spades and clubs. looking forward to your input.

Re: Solo project

Thanks for the comments, all! The art is inspired by one of my all time favorite artists, J.C. Leyendecker. I hope to have more courts for you to look at soon. I haven't even begun to think about card back design yet, but I would love to hear your suggestions and design input. Also which printer I s...

The Roaring Twenties deck

Hello All, I'm currently working on a solo project that I hope to launch on KS soon. I want the theme to be the Roaring Twenties. I've always loved the time period and I would like to try and capture some of it in my designs. I only have one court done, but i wanted some input to see if I'm heading ...

Hello all,
In an effort to make the standard courts more special, I've done some shading and coloring without changing the original designs.

Re: Select aka Primo playing cards from Edgy Brothers live o

We reached out to most of the creators on KS when we began this campaign and will continue to. The majority of them chose not to respond. Unfortunately we can't make them share our project. We have shared on social media, blogs and forums. We updated on our previous campaigns about it and will conti...

Re: Primo playing cards from Edgy Brothers

I'm glad you guys agree with the decision, however it hasn't made much of a dent in the numbers. This project has stalled bigtime. I feel that the design is solid, but either the concept or the full bleed back and tucks are keeping people from backing. I'd love some input.

Re: Primo playing cards from Edgy Brothers

I did a version without the foil and embossing on regular tuck stock. this version would keep our goal at 7k. It would allow us to unlock the blue version at 14k, and we could do the foil and embossing as stretch goals. Ver2.gif Version2.gif It would also keep our deck prices lower($12 includes dome...

Re: Primo playing cards from Edgy Brothers

@sinjin7, I took your suggestion and ran with it. Here is what I came up with. Tuck.gif Tuck2.gif tuckspin.gif I think it turned out great, but after getting a quote from Tiffany at USPCC this tuck would double our initial funding goal of $7,000 to $14,000. It would also raise the deck price for bac...

Re: Primo playing cards from Edgy Brothers

@Shermjack, here is a variation with less red. @Jazzvox thanks for the silver suggestion instead of the gold. I actually tried a silver version initially, but didn't like it. However by revisiting it and warming up the silver it worked out very nicely. Kudos to you. :D
