Re: Jumping the gun a bit
Pretty intense kings! I would say keep the sword king and use the other troll as the one eyed jack perhaps, with an eyeball in his hand. He already seems squinting with his right eye and his open left eye towards us. This is a brilliant suggestion ! I second this. Interesting, Eoghann. My current i...

Re: Delicious
Very nice, Emmanuel. How large do you make the physical cards when you cut?

Re: Jumping the gun a bit
Both, but particularly the preservation of French themes. Cool, honestly I would feel like I was cheating, or taking a shortcut, if I didn't. If this project happens, and I go on to another, I really want to do a deck inspired by all the games of la brisca I played growing up. Which I think would h...

No, Emmanuel, your work is great! I love that tattooed 7 of hearts; is all of your artwork used for the cards done as cut paper?Emmanuel wrote:Great work, Patrick!

Re: Hello from Orlando Fl
Welcome, Patrick! Don't worry, you'll be fine with just a pack of Bikes. And some Tally Ho's. And maybe a Black Tiger deck, black decks are cool. Oh, and a Tally Ho Viper to go with the regular one. Damn, those Artifice cards look real nice... Ah hell, just get all the Ellusionist decks. Hey, I hea...

Re: Jumping the gun a bit
Thanks, MCJ, for the kind words and the feedback. Thankfully that flatness in the axe haft is just an artifact of the 5 minutes I spent in GIMP mirroring the image, I just made one dominant rather than bending and transitioning the two to give it a sense of depth. Love me for the nickname preservati...

Re: Jumping the gun a bit
Thanks, all of you :D Yeah, Eoghann, that last 20% will probably involve making the horns a bit larger. Not a tremendous amount, most real examples of horned helmets I found had relatively modestly sized horns- If you can use that word to describe a helmet with fricking horns sticking out of it, and...

Re: Hello from Orlando Fl
Thanks for the welcome, guys. I was doing ok until a few years ago I was at a friend of a friend's house and he had some old block printed cards on display in his gaming room. I've been itching to get something like that ever since.

Jumping the gun a bit
I've been toying with the idea to make a custom deck for the past few months, as it sits now I've roughs of all the court and the King of Diamond about 80% finished. Stumbling across this site from a KS browsing session I figured I might could post here to get some feedback and, hopefully, encourage...

Hello from Orlando Fl
Hi, all. My name is Patrick, 36, artist and student. While I've not made any attempt at keeping my magic skills honed for, oh, 20 years now, I am still fascinated by cards. I'm not sure that I want to go full out and start collecting, but I certainly want to get two or three nice decks. In other wor...
