Re: Rick Davidson - Wishers

I wasn't a big fan of the standard court cards, but the more I looked at them, the more I liked this deck. I have LUXX PALME, GREILL, and COBRA V2. I like the slightly narrower index of the COBRA because it looks nicer when fanned or spread. I have a hard time buying a deck with a classy standard co...

Re: Harry Potter Playing Cards by T11 (ill. Russ Gray)

I purchased the box set. I thought the special edition with foil backing was not made by USPCC, but the green of the four basic colors was also not made by USPCC and was the same paper as the special edition. The thickness is almost the same but the weight of 52 pieces is 92~93g, which is about 8,9%...

Another really unimportant piece of information is that in Japan, people who fail the university entrance exam and study without belonging to a high school, university, or company are also called “ronin”.
My wife was once a ronin

I have lived in Japanese culture for about half a century, but I do not have any historical expertise, just an opinion as an average Japanese person. I like the color of the tuck case. I feel a bit of the dull hue of the mineral pigments used in Japanese painting. I also like the simple Japanese cal...

IMG_20240629_114407.jpg Certainly not as rendered, the back was particularly disappointing, but the face was not that far off from my imagination. The foil is not a mirror-like reflection due to the embossing, but there is a decent foil sheen. Unlike the thin paper (280gsm Black Core?) that is ofte...

On Avalon's comments page, Tim mentioned he used MPC. I wonder why the size is a bit larger than other MPC products I have? (the corner radius is also a little different).

I received mine and as kevork said the fan works perfectly and feels great when bent. The traditional cut makes the faro shuffle easy. The texture feels like MPC's M31 Beta Finish and the thickness is about equal, but it is about 0.5mm larger in length and width than the MPC(Bicycle). Since the pric...

The addition of the Claw has made me consider changing from The Windwatcher (LTD) tier to The Chancellor tier (or Oracle). I love Lorenzo's design and as a collector, I am inclined to want The Windwatcher, but the face design is the same as the others and it is far beyond what I normally spend on a ...

I have received the email. I like cartamundi paper quality, WJPC is not bad, but I was willing to pay almost $100 for 2 decks of playing cards +α, partly because it was B9 Slimline paper, which is my most favorite stock. Personally, I'd rather wait, but not knowing when it will happen can be a burde...
