Re: The Enneagram
https://perfecttrine.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/142857_fan.png I changed the title of this thread to reflect the changes I made in real life. This seemed like a better solution than beginning a new thread. I figured it was time to refresh the first card I made. the original art was made to hang...

Re: Trine by Kenney
I am still plodding along with this project. I took every bit of feedback to heart, maybe too closely at times. As much as I want to thank everyone for their reflections, it was the wife that has been the most tenacious...i suppose that is her role. To begin with I have toned down the scope of the p...

Re: Trine by Kenney
I removed all the jitter and stretch that was sneaking in at the photography stage. In order to get everything to pop, the color correction and masking turned into a big task. I am still finding little things to clean up. I definitely learned a lot that I will just do as I progress next time. I work...

Re: Trine by Kenney
Got my first deck back from MPC they're a bit dark as I expected. Photographing the deck is going to be my biggest hurdle now, probably going to have to build a studio and buy a decent camera to do it and get the results I want. 20220630_184911.jpg 20220630_184246.jpg This picture shows why the bord...

Re: Full sheet dimensions
The ratio of rows to columns and the order the cards are cut into the plate are probably going to vary from shop to shop, depending on the card stock dimensions and that shop's workflow. From what I could gather this time around: Legends is currently printing a 54-card sheet, nine cards wide and six...

Re: Trine by Kenney
... instead of the classic French ones There's no pips on any of these cards. Just 56 different sigils. Lost in translation. I do refer to the things below the indices as pips. Like you have the corner index (7, J, Q, ...) and below (or part of it) the classic french suits (clubs, diamonds, ...), t...

Re: Trine by Kenney
This project looks really intriguing! Will the artwork be vectorized for the final version or will it remain hand-illustrated? I really like the border design and how it connects to each pip. The Club pip looks a bit oversized in comparison to the other three pips (or maybe they are undersized?). A...

Re: Trine by Kenney
Thumbs up from me. Looks good. Some thoughts of mine would be: • maybe add another circle to the back that is full bleed to the edge so that you have another detail when fanning the deck • faces could look better without the frame • maybe fully custom pips would be dope for this deck, too. Somethin...

Rather than posting this as fifty something pictures here is a link to my gallery
https://perfecttrine.com/trine-gallery/
The animation is neat but it doesn't give each card the time it deserves.

Re: Trine by Kenney
The one I did for this, I designed for doing a riffle fan, I had been practicing that a bit at work a while back. 00Back.jpg To give a better idea of the effect I was going for with this I set up a scene in blender with a simple fan. fan back.png I did these left hand light colored back ground right...

The Enneagram
This is a deck I have been working on and off of for a long time. Every year or two an idea comes along that will fit with the original concept and I find myself resurrecting the project from the dust heap in the closet. These are the front of the cards in order of the zodiac signature in the upper ...

Full sheet dimensions
The EPCC templates I used years ago have a card distribution of 6:9 or six rows of nine cards. A 54 card deck. Are the companies that are offering 56 cards using a different card stock dimensions? Seven rows of eight? For a 56 card deck? Perhaps there's diagrams of the card order for each company? I...

Re: Alchemy by Kenney
Thanks, maybe someday. I have all the line work done, I redid them with much cleaner architecture and I think I held my motifes better through the suits. The original one looked really chaotic. Simplified my color palette a bit as well...and I got distracted and started a different project at the sa...

Alchemy by Kenney
The Alchemy deck is the continuation of my PerfectTrine idea. My father had died and I found myself stuck at my mother's house for almost a year, just talking to her and keeping her company. At one point I found a pile of my dad's drafting supplies... Which led to me making up this design based arou...

Re: Hi I'm Kenney
Lol... It has been a long time since someone has bought me one of those shirts... I'd like to say that my favorite cards are these expert playing cards. I have a bunch of zen in red and the penguin magic emperor decks... No matter how much I like them though they hurt my hands. I'm getting old I hav...

Re: Hi I'm Kenney
Thanks for the warm welcome... Looking at everyone's collections, I'm a bit in awe.
I like to play with my cards... I destroy almost everything I touch.

Hi I'm Kenney
Hi I'm Kenny, I've been making poker cards of one sort or another as a hobby for the last 6 or 7 years. Just something I started doing with my daughter that I never quit doing long after she forgot about it. I've been lurking here off and on for a few years. I tried doing a Kickstarter some years ag...
