Re: The Great Gatsby by Captan Card Co. / Andrei Captan [KS June 27]

The cards... edges and smell, somewhat not USPCC. Do Captan changes printer without telling us? - since I scour all the updates, and he didn't mention anything regarding changing printer. I had the same thought when opening my deck as well. I wonder if the printer changed. It also reminded me of th...

Yes, Globetrotter should be available through X-Decks once backers are fulfilled - at least the wallet and the gilded/ungilded decks will be. We printed a surplus of each.

I posted these over on r/playingcards too so apologies if I’m spamming folks in multiple locations - but excited to share these pics I took of some sample decks from Room One. I think they did an amazing job - thank you @TorresOver and team! Especially love how the two foil types and the gilding tur...

room one is printing these? thats interesting since they haven't really done any complex decks that I know of, the foiling on samurai otter was...ok but there wasn't a lot of it. Yes, we went with Room One but we met with a bunch of others. i really like the handling of their decks generally - espe...

Congrats on the launch Sinecure! Thanks Manu. Appreciated! Fingers crossed it gets over the line! Re: Passport Playing Cards (and puzzle)

It is looking good but if I am going for perfection and of course this is my opinion only: I don't like the CLASSIFIED heading being cropped. I would make that card look more interesting by having a watermark or a stamp across it The Jokers seem a little weak Thanks! I should have posted these earl...

Re: Dave Stevens' Rocketeer Playing Cards [KS]

Love this deck and hope it funds. I left a comment on the KS asking who the printer will be.

At the price point I’m assuming the cards wouldn’t be foiled but a bit of bling on the tuckbox would look amazing.

Re: Passport Playing Cards (and puzzle)

A few courts and backstory… The courts form part of the puzzle woven through the deck. Each suit depicts an aristocratic family in exile. The passage of history has not been kind to their once-royal lines but, as citizens of the world, they epitomise the style, excess and pleasure-seeking lifestyle ...

Re: Passport Playing Cards (and puzzle)

I still think what you have is good and still very playable. I might be tempted to limit the stampings to two if that is not at odds with your puzzle - I think the 5oC looks a little busy with three but that is probably just me Thanks. And yes, should be fine to limit it to 2 per card. Appreciate t...

Re: Passport Playing Cards (and puzzle)

Here’s a look at numbers and aces. Once again, love to get your feedback. The arrival and departure stamps are authentic to the 40 countries they’re from and to the period of the story (ie 1971-1973). Even though the faces are borderless and pretty custom, I’ve tried to keep it as playable as I coul...

Passport Playing Cards (and puzzle)

Hi all First time creator but longtime UC lurker/occasional poster. You might have seen early images of this deck I’m working on over on r/playingcards. It’s a Passport themed deck concept with a 1970s jetset travel vibe and a cold war spy mystery / puzzle built in. Besides playing cards, my other g...

Mine arrived today in Oz. I got one of the Luxury Edition. Still forming a view of the cards themselves (giving it a couple of days) but gotta say, the Studio Pression tuckbox and sleeve are superb. So much fine print detail and intricate foil inside and out. Plus it just feels really solid. Not sur...

At this point, its just a matter of trust I suppose. The evidence presented by that Reddit post is compelling (especially the part where the campaign description was changed). Agree with most of the feedback already provided. Especially the suggestion to reduce the funding goal by sticking with the colour deck (it looks like that was the one folks were mainly getting) and potentially consider a cheaper printer. I love Macbeth and have several Shakespeare-themed decks but ...
