Re: Brüt Tarot by UUSI (Upcoming Project)

Hey Dan. Do you fan your tarot decks. That would be one he'll of a fan hehe  funny man. That's why I said spread, not fan. But I'll take it as a challenge to fan these bad boys now that the finish will allow it. Who knows, maybe this marks a new age for cardistry. Über tarot fans! Viva la Taro...

Re: Brüt Tarot by UUSI (Upcoming Project)

I've been on the fence about these (Con: It's a tarot deck, Pro: It's UUSI), but these being printed by EPCC makes it much more probable that I'll be in on these. Thanks for the update, Linnea! You're welcome, Tom! And very cool to hear you are interested in the Uusi Tarot now. I agree with you com...

Re: Brüt Tarot by UUSI (Upcoming Project)

Very excited for the project, im always in ! Did you have alternative back designs ? I find this one a little too simple ? We did try a smaller pattern that also looked great, but we really loved the modernism of this design. It's a more "artistic" back design, perhaps along the lines of ...

Re: Brüt Tarot by UUSI (Upcoming Project)

Hey Linnea, what printer do you plan on using? As much as I love tarots and have several myself, the one thing that's bothered me is their inability to spread well. Hi Eoghann! We are excited to be using EPCC on this deck. We've been working with Bill Kalush closely on the decks production and we w...

Re: Brüt Tarot by UUSI (Upcoming Project)

Hello! This is Linnea from Uusi. I was headed over here today to post about our new Tarot and saw there was already a thread for it – you guys don't miss a thing! First off, I see that you have picked up on some of the deck's stylistic influences – very cool. "BRuT" 's inspiration is a mix...

Re: UUSI Gilded Decks 24/7/2014 @ 0900 Central Time

Hi Sher! No, the deck will not stick together more the longer you wait on breaking it. Once the sizing (which is really just linseed oil) has set with the gold leaf the gilding process is essentially finished. Since traditional gilding is more an art form than a machined process, the drying time for...

Pete is in the shop (always!), but I'm working in the office today and would be happy to answer any questions you have on our gilded decks or the gilding process. FWIW, I was lukewarm on this project (Hotcakes, I'm talking about, not Madperson and Bone), but the more I see, the more I like. I actually find that the newest version of the backs works really well with the overall feeling of the deck. I've gone from "well, I'll probably get one of each colo...

@magikfingerz – but how would the lace stay together if it weren't sewn to the fishnet? It would just fall off and then...yes...there would be a whole lot more skin showing!

@montecarlojoe - Think sexy, French, fishnet lingerie. If it was a solid color it would read more like UN-breathable, girdle-like Spanx. The point is to see a little skin ;)

Re: Uusi's 5th deck: "Hotcakes" exclusive preview March 20th

I wish they would go with a more simple back design, large flow-y colourful pucci-inspired back design similar to whatever little clothes the courts have on. With courts like these, i think having a similarly styled back design would be better Hey Volantangel - sorry to hear you don't like the new ...

Hi Kai! We just saw this thread! We loved looking at all the photographs of decks in your collection. Re: Uusi's 5th deck: "Hotcakes" exclusive preview March 20th

I'd have to look back at the Pagan updates, but I think they sold 30 of 50 total decks for $75 each one per customer late in that campaign. I was happy to get one, it's an important variant of their series. Hey Mike, you're right - we limited the 22KT Gilded decks to 30 in our Pagan KS project and ...

Re: New UUSI deck?

Thanks, Emmanuel! And no, it's not inspired by Kitsune, but love that reference! Our deck is in the same vein as that, but its more our interpretation of early Central & Northern Europe Pagan Era – hence the title of the deck, "Pagan".
