Re: House of Cardistry

Sorry I haven’t posted a video lately. I got a pretty bad cut on my right hand at work and have had to put the cards aside for the time being... one handed cuts with my left (dominant hand) only for me right now... it should be good as new in the next week or so. Fortunately no stitches for me.

Re: Hello - Newbie in to the world of playing cards

Hey man! I’m in the Atlanta area too. Just started cardistry about two months ago and am completely hooked. Spending a fortune on playing cards, that’s for sure! Welcome to the boards!

You got a WAY lower number than I did on the Edred the Gizzard deck... mine is like 389 or something... not that it really matters but I plan on picking up a few more of the King’s Wild decks soon.

Re: The most underrated decks

I suppose that’s another good thing about being new to all of this... being able to get to know about decks that most folks either overlook or are too busy chasing the latest greatest. I’ve always been a guy that subscribed to the “if it’s obscure it’s GOT to be good!!” school of thought, so I’ll de...

Re: Decks you own that aren’t worth a crap to anyone but you.

Just as an aside... my mother grew up in Mississippi in the 30’s & 40’s and my grandmother was strict as all get out. Mom had some original Coca Cola playing cards and my grandmother threw them all away saying (insert maniacal television evangelist voice here) “they’re the tools of SATAN!!!!”......

Re: Decks you own that aren’t worth a crap to anyone but you.

See, this is making me feel a lot better... I just bought a couple of Virginia Slims decks from the 80’s/90’s... not because I’m a smoker or a feminist but because a girl I used to date back in those days smoked them...

Slowly but surely... I’m starting to get the feel for this move. It’s definitely something that you have to get several aspects spot on to get the effect that makes this move so nice but it’s getting there... it’s almost like the deck is tired of me trying to get it down and is cooperating just so ...

Decks you own that aren’t worth a crap to anyone but you.

2B266776-152C-4959-8603-D218BA5826F1.jpeg This is a deck I got from an orthopaedic surgical supply company I worked for in the 90’s and I would bet that this deck is only one of a very few left on this miserable vale of tears we all live on... Y and I exclude standard decks that I use regularly. Same here. I only count sealed decks that I really have no intention of opening, and almost without exception I have at least two of everything fitting that description. I decided to stop kidding myself about “saving the good decks for later, whe...

Haha, no worries. Just nerdy stuff. You'll be fine. Ender is right with the base line which is, that "Luxury Pressed E7 Stock" (=Cohorts) and "B9 (True Linen Finish) slimline" (Copag 310 slimline) refer to basically the same paper product. I now have both my Cohort and Copag sli...

That is exactly the reason I snipe on eBay most of the time and just forget about it. Honestly, I don't go on eBay much lately. I did recently, and my snipe was beat. Oh well, maybe another time. I don't think they actually want to sell. I think that's out there just in case someone wants to give them 700.00 USD for it. Sometimes it's fun to dangle the hook and see if something bites the thing right? That's all that makes sense to me anyway. Winner winner, chicken dinner. I put a pair of ha...
