Re: Pinocchio Playing Cards

are they new cards as well or just new tucks? The cards are the "classic" ones, @Harvonsgard is right. I have always wanted to make a gilded edition of the Pinocchio decks for a bunch of reasons. On the one hand, the gilded edition was just never made. As the Vermilion and Sapphire tuck b...

Hello there,

Opinion survey. Do you prefer top or bottom?

We have a back design, by the way. *The layout of the courts in the following images is not updated.

Re: Genovesi

I love this. Very excited about this project. Thanks for sharing! Thank you! :) Wouldn't be the first hand made deck I own 😃. Out of curiosity, what's the concern? I don't even know where to start from. A couple of examples might help to communicate the concerns I am talking about. Example no. 1 Pr...

Re: Genovesi

In the end, we opted for the middle version. The one below is the Jack of Clubs / "O Sbiro de Scioî" in the Genoese dialect. Fante di fiori.jpg The shape of the shield has been modified to better fit the Italian model; the representations on it have been substituted with the so-called Sain...

Re: Genovesi

Family members are left-handed. They all fan the other way. We always need four corner indexed card for gameplay, which is a pity because most of the beautiful modern custom playing cards have only two corner indices. I don't know if they are indeed in the minority or if the majority of left-handed...

Re: Genovesi

I can't wait to see what you pull out the hat for the back design. Me too... :D However again.... game play/usability thing comes in to play. In an example scenario -- game play when players hold multiple cards, if those held cards not separated or held a wee bit apart, would not recognize if the c...

Re: Genovesi

Thank you all for sharing your point of view! We started from 6 different layouts and the almost univocity of your opinion is very clarifying. @masagin303 I was fearing so much the readability of those texts on the poker size, that I didn't realize they were even too big. Thank you! I was blind. As ...

Genovesi

Hello everyone, and best wishes for the new year!  Big picture: Together with an authentic Genoese guy - I have started working on a very particular project. I am reinterpreting the iconography of the traditional Genovesi cards, which are a specific kind of Italian regional cards. The courts are qui...

Re: Blue Jay Dentistry by meadowlarkdecks

Hello there! I try not to meddle in the conversations regarding the designs I work on. I always get very embarrassed for the kind comments (I literally hide my face behind my scarf while being at the office, with eyes wide open) and usually feel like I'm nosing around where I shouldn't. BUT I'd like...

I've got to thank too many people supporting me, here....... :)🙏🏻 I'd like in particular to answer to @Harvonsgard, as I appreciated his note and there is something obvious (but not that obvious) that I want to underline. The most decks being gilded are decks, gilded. I mean: of course one cannot pr...

Indeed I'll keep on sharing every single thing I do with you, in our multiple chats, as if this conversion had never occurred. ❤️

Is there anyone who has this deck? I’ve seen it via Portfolio 52 and I’ve been suddenly electrocuted (self-mockery? )
It’s an emotional issue ;)

Re: BOLD

I'd probably get these if I could afford backing anything at the moment, but I can't. Is it foil on the tuck box or the cards? I'm sorry @MagikFingerz. For what it's worth, I'm trying to keep the prices as low as possible for this first solo campaign. The foil is on the box, whereas the inner cards...

I love this deck too. The illustrations are very original and the whole product seems to be made with great care. I'd be sooooo curious to explore the whole process behind the finished deck (design and realization of the physical product)

Yeah, definitely unique.
