Not motivated enough but fairly certain that a reverse image search would reveal where he acquired them.

I'll leave it to someone more cynical than me to hypothesize about, if indeed these aren't his, whether or not the images have been licensed...

Thanks for posting the courts! ... ... AND I'm out. They look ew, unfortunately. I cringed the moment I saw the courts. Don't get me wrong I'm all in for custom courts... only if they look good, and these don't match with the elegance of the tuck. Too much simplicity for such a pretty tuck. Just Ew...

Re: Night Parade Fusion Playing Cards

A non-standard, or thicker tuck box would cause some problems for carat cases, sleeves, or even some displays that have a set depth. Fully agreed. Having an oddly sized/shaped tuck boxes is a negative. I do have a couple, so it's not an absolute deal-killer, but they're a pain and having a normal t...

Re: Jerry’s Nuggets reprint soon to be on Kickstarter

Zero chance of me backing this. If I ever end up with some form of insanity fever that causes me to want some, I'm absolutely positive that with 100K+ of these printed, the aftermarket is going to end up with prices well below the KS pledge.

Re: Blvck Spades Playing Cards live on Kickstarter

Not a slam dunk for me, but I do like the courts and US$10 is reasonable... but $15 on top of that to ship a single deck to Canada is simple greed.

*No money for you*

We’ll see if it funds and see if the aftermarket has a more reasonable attitude to mail costs.

I made the decision long ago not to include marked decks in my collection.

Along the way, there have been a few that were beautiful enough to severely tempt me to break my rule. (Resisted; still none in the collection)

This, however, is not one of them.

I'll go with Meh -1

I agree that it's in my borderline category. I flagged it with a reminder and just got my 48h notice.

There are flaws or at least things I'd change, but at the end of the day the art is solid.

Decided to back it and give what may be a promising new designer a start.

I'm a huge fan of Islamic art, so Lotrek's recent exploration of that space have been doub...

The courts are a very nice balance of theme-specific art along with a strong unmistakable flavour of traditional courts.

I also agree with the comments on the back. Very nice, but possibly within striking distance of excellent.

Also, and a minor quibble given the issues discussed, is that full bleed on the face side (other than a single colour all the way round of course) makes it unsuitable for use in an actual game of cards.
