Re: UUSI Supra Oracle [Tarot Style] (KS)

Received this yesterday We are keeping this short as there is a crazy amount of working going on right now at the studio to get ready for shipping out the Supra rewards, but just wanted to let you know all has been printed and is in the packing process at the printer, (decks are being assembled and ...

Good collection of gaffs.

It's not a core interest of mine but somehow I'm a sucker for them.

Re: Tally-Ho No. 9 Horseback Restoration: Live on KS

I really like these reproductions. I have pretty much all the ones he's done, and they are uniformly high quality. I understand that many are looking for something new, but I appreciate a well done "what has been" as well. And the price here is excellent. I'm surprised that it hasn't funde...

Re: Bicycle "Lunar & Zodiac" series launching soon

The pip cards are a huge turnoff. I like pretty much everything else about these.

I might have picked one up anyway, except that there's no way I'm going in for only part of the set and no way I'm going in for that many decks with pips cards like those.

Re: 5 Stack Playing Cards by Jackson Robinson: Live on KS

It's really a shame. It's a great game. Unfortunately, Jackson made zero updates and zero posts/promotion since launch. Hard to gain momentum if you don't push on the gas. Hard to say if the early successes made him assume that all he needed to do is show up. It is too bad. I backed the game not be...

"A deck of actual and original Ralph Steadman artwork is $25?" "Sorry; but no. It's certainly an appealing deck but that is an absolutely ridiculous price point." *Goes off and happily spends way more than than on a Lotrek deck and considers it money absolutely well spent* So I g...

Huh. Well, they need only $550 or so per day to fund, and already today they have $0 so you must certainly feel silly thinking that nobody wants this. ;)

We've all seen these kinds of ideas executed horribly and they hurt just to look at.

The design on these, though, is really well done. Kudos to the artists.

Re: Green Dragon Playing Cards Standard Edition: Live on KS

I have no problem with the idea of marked decks, but I also have made it a point not to own any. I'm even passing on the new Mints (which is a shame; they're lovely and I love premium Bee stock) so I'm certainly out on these things. But really, what on earth is the point of marking these? I can see ...

Love retro designs. I'll echo the distaste for artificial aging.

In this case, the former will probably win over the latter.

If there's an option for a non-distressed look, it's a slam dunk. Otherwise I guess I'll let pricing decide.

Agreed. Kind of interesting but not enough for me to pull the trigger on this. I like the line art, the tuck looks nice; the backs are close but being one way is a point against minus another point for the one-way being completely unnecessary. Any text anywhere is a turn-off, and while I don't mind ...

This reminds me of the kinds of decks I bought early on when I first started collecting, and now have no use for. I've recently started arranging my collection into "superstar" decks, decks I'm happy to own, and then a pile of "what the hell was I thinking" decks. I now know what...

To my mind, this is unquestionably the new high-water mark for decks.

I agree that the tuck will make this deck. But when I think "pizza" I don't think shiny. I think the tuck should be textured, not foiled. Either way I love the Lorenzo-like proportions on the QoH :ugdance: She's not really looking at the pizza with her "okay" fingers either. :lo...

Well, for me, it's all about the courts. With a non-standard design for the pip cards, I'm on stand-by for this one. I like the retro feel; we'll see how this goes. Full-bleed designs really need to be done right if the deck is going to remain playable. Backs need to be done right and since if it's ...

Surely there's still a way to pre-populate a KS project with all the details, have it reviewed, and launch at the time of your choosing?
