Re: Monthly playing card club?
Nice idea! I don't know if there's already something like this, but this kind of stuff is always interesting. Personally, since I live in Brazil, and sometimes it takes too long for some international packages to arrive (besides the fee we have to pay for every package) I won't be participating (per...

Re: One Way Back Design
With some exceptions, I don't like one way back designs that don't work, I endorse what MagikFingerz said about not necessarily being completely symmetrical or mirrored, but for me, the design should at least works both ways (and I think it's kinda cool when they have some variations but makes sense...

CRIME DECK - Baralho do Crime
Sorry If I posted this in the wrong place, it's more like a curiosity than a real deck, but it is curious and I thought some members would find it interesting. I was searching for a deck and found an article about this "deck" that I'll explain below: In 2008, in the Brazilian state of Bahi...

Nice design, also, I loved the color palette you used, I would describe it as cozy and comfortable.
Looking forward to see more!
(BTW, Culturae animalis is one of the decks in my collection that people gets more impressed)

Yep, it's a weird back, they adapted their social media identity and aesthetics to make the back design (the one they use in Instagram and facebook posts). But I liked the vivid colors, unfortunately I can't make a decent fan because the borders are super thick

I'm not sure if there's someone interested in a deck like this around here because the deck is entirely in Portuguese, but usually a few weeks after the Dia do Baralho event they sell the rest of the decks in their store

Hello, it's been a while since my last post around here, Last week, on September 13, Copag Celebrated the Playing Card day Here in Brazil, the date is a reference to the most famous Brazilian Copag, the 139 Series, and in the last few years, I'm getting their commemorative decks from this event (tha...

Really nice collection, what I like the most is the diversity, your collection looks so colorful and well mixed.
Also, nice uncut sheets, they look amazing in those displays (Personally I would use a blue background, but that's because I don't like red)

Re: History Boxed - subscription playing cards for learning
Great idea, Not really my thing, especially because it will be only U.S. history decks, but as a suggestion, for international backers, would you consider an alternative plan? like waiting 3 months and ship all 3 decks at once to avoid high shipping rates? Actually not sure if this will have a lot o...

Re: Lockdown or just mail services.
Well, not really, it usually takes almost two months for any order to arrive at my house due to the customs, so I"m used to it, but I can understand your frustration.
I'm just always worried if the decks will be damaged or not when they arrive.

I know that they are available at Amazon, but I got them from amiami.com, a Japanese store, it was way cheaper (just had to wait almost two months to arrive). All Ensky single decks have that plastic case, just like the Nintendo decks, maybe a Japanese thing, and they are great to protect the cards....

My mixed bricks prize from KWP arrived yesterday (48 decks)! Special thanks to Nick and Desi and the KW Crew for working hard to get this to me during trying circumstances. I was beyond thrilled with the mix, although one brick box didn't survive shipping. Some pics then a full list below: IMG_4782...

[saul riffel] Studio Ghibli Playing Cards
Hello once again, I'm sharing some photos of my Studio Ghibli Playing Cards, made in Japan by Ensky. They don't have any kind of finish but they handle ok and they use a good quality paper. The decks are Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Kiki's Delivery Service and "Laputa" Castle in the S...

Re: Truco Cards
True, Truco can be played with any 40 cards Spanish decks, but there is also another way. Truco is a very popular game in South America, and in Argentina, Uruguay and south of Brazil (that there is some Spanish influence) truco is played with the Spanish deck, but in most part of brazil a standard 5...

Re: Card Backs: With or without Border?
Not a magician but I heard it is better for magic since you can hide a turned over card better in a deck without flashing it. Thanks, that makes sense. I'm learning one or two tricks but I have a standard Bicycle just for that, so I won't be using any other deck for it. As I said, for me it doesn't...

Card Backs: With or without Border?
So, I've noticed in some reviews and comments that some people don't like when a back design is borderless, but with no explanation, what is your opinon? Borders are better for magic for some reason? I could think about two explanations (besides simple personal taste): Custom backs draws could get d...
