Re: Eye of Kukulkan by Charmie Dreams The Cat

That campaign page was an entertaining read. That person definitely doesn't take themselves too seriously. And I'm interested in the addon decks from the previous campaign. Now I need to decide if I like this one enough.

I understand about the sketch work, but their are signed prints and uncut tucks available, so it is not all bad. Project already funded! WooHoo. (As if there any doubt it would get funded) I did see art prints are available, but I couldn't find any depiction of all the courts for me to know for sur...

They apparently added a stretch goal of a keychain at all tiers, and a brick box for 6, though that's not currently in the main copy, just in the tier texts. Addons and gilding options are mentioned in comment replies as coming towards the end.

I would like to get my prizes shipped. Okay, read the earlier posts. lol I haven't received an email from P52. ...

Looks like some repeats of cats in each deck, but not always in the same sequence? From the image it appears the Jack of Hearts and the Jack of Clubs are the same, but not the Jack of Spades, for example. That's very quirky. I'll keep an eye out here for some strays :)

Putting this link here in case anyone wants to see but some of those prices are... Yikes! They weren't all scary, though. That "Black Market Set" of 3 of the more basic LPCC-printed decks was $11, for example. Got my order today. The only frightening thing for me was the website said it w...

Posting because I got an email that these are now available in his store. Unless I missed another post, it looks like he didn't come back and post the KS? It's here , and from what I can tell the only setback to what was promised has been the logo on the wood box is not the color he wanted it. But h...

Feltrin also did a tarot version of 'Tahiti' (World Web Playing Cards Museum) in at least two editions. My order arrived today. Both Mosaic decks make nice use of embossing and foiling on their tucks. They also have cards that feel very slick and sturdy, but I don't know if cardists would say they "glide." Not in the humidity here, for sure :) Also, I appreciate the large indices. Under mixe...

I forgot to check for the 20% off email yesterday, so missed that, but today they did send a 10% discount code good for the next couple of days. I ordered one of each, plus another deck that isn't discounted, but was on my probable buy list (helped that the shipping charge seemed to be flat).

I don't have any previous iterations, and I do like ocean/nautical themes. If this was unbranded, I wouldn't hesitate. A full-color, unbranded Seven Seas Master Collection would be a yes, please. If I do go in, it'll be for the Pirate & Sea Creature pair. Price seems modest, for a Kickstarter. ...

Almost pledged for a deck during the early bird because of the back design, and the Aces and Jokers do look nice (though there should be an owl peeking out of the second tree, don't you think?), but the phrase "standard courts" slowed me down when I logged back in to order up. And then I r...

At first glance, the effect of most of the card fronts appears to me more as mismatched printing registration, not anaglyph 3D. I do see the hockey stick-looking dividers on the courts are lined differently from the rest of the art, and so look a little 3D. Individual filters in 3D glasses would be ...

It's not holding very tightly to the concept of a deck for a business (unless there are ad cards we aren't seeing yet), but that's okay. It's cheerful in a simple, non-saccharine way, and it's springtime. I'm looking forward to the actual KS post. edit: The Kickstarter makes it clear it's a real bus...

I've thought about collecting them, because I've been a fan of art on cards ever since I was collecting 'nonsports trading card' sets back in the 90s. I even had a deck, my first year in college. There was a deck with almost this back (except red bordered) that sold last year on Etsy after listing for $12, and the blurb just says it's from the 50s. It was in much worse shape than yours. Also note, besides the border difference, the complementing box color was green, and yours is green-border...
