Re: Legal Tender - By Jackson Robinson

Happy to report the handling (at least fanning) is 1000% better. Still on the stiffer side but these actually slide really well - better than most foiled decks outside of Cartamundi. Seriously impressed with the improvement. I just got my Version 2 deck today. The handling is fine. They seem to fan...

Re: Warrior Women Playing Cards / Live on KS

I just got these in the mail today, and overall a pretty nice deck and nice tuck. Glad I got to provide input into the design and now have the result in my hands.

I'd give these a respectable A-minus.

Re: Legal Tender - By Jackson Robinson

I'm not in any rush to get any of the decks from the second shipment. These are the remaining 3000 decks from the initial print run. I'll wait for the second print run where Jackson makes improvements and scales back the holo foiling on the faces. Maybe even the handling can be improved by then. Li...

Re: Legal Tender - By Jackson Robinson

Now seeing the success of the back design we are already tweaking the process and design to update the faces to use the same process as the back and create that more matte too shiny pop that I think you guys were missing and I think that will push this already solid deck even further. Wait a second...

Re: Legal Tender - By Jackson Robinson

Awesome review for an awesome deck. Tiny gripe regarding the deck, the promo shots gave the impression that the foil is used for highlights and not that much. Especially on the faces it is a bit much. Anyhow, still a dope deck nonetheless. Yea. Would have been really cool if, like actual currency, ...

Re: Untitled deck inspired by Hieronymus Bosch

Good idea @Scottbre. I was going with a classic card back with elements taken from Bosch's works like (Owl, tree man etc.), will try the above one too. The only issue with the above one is that print doesn't give full justice to the vision of such a large frame. Case in point is Uusi's Hyde Park de...

Re: Untitled deck inspired by Hieronymus Bosch

I think that a back that looks like a very ornate art frame (perhaps mostly in black and gold) with just a fairly simple image (done in 2-way design) within the frame, would look really sharp and provide a nice contrast to the continuing image/transformational style of the face of the cards. I'm tal...

Re: Untitled deck inspired by Hieronymus Bosch

... a solid black number might be needed because the smaller size card images look blurry and the 3 looks like an 8 to me. This. I was trying to put my finger on why the indices looked so faded, because the halo don't really seem to help. I think it's because there too much shading and detail in th...

Re: Untitled deck inspired by Hieronymus Bosch

Think it would look better without the white halos around the pips and indices. My only suggestion would be to do something to darken/thicken the actual indices. But I think given the style of this deck, that the pips blending into the art is just fine.

This deck is looking pretty sweet though.

Well, it's been 72 hours since Diesel PMed FrkNugget, and FrkNugget hasn't been on the site since February 16, so I think it's safe to assume he's being skipped. In for 2!

Are the Ace pip designs finalized yet? They have very inconsistent widths and I'd love to see them a bit more consistent in how much space each one occupies on the card.

It's pretty clear from the backs that this deck is marked. But man, the front of the cards are not cohesive at all. Pass.
