Re: C R Y P T -Mystery deck n.3

Got mine...

I can only echo what others said who were blown away.

I really like the Tuck, in conjunction with the cards.

The card backs are simply glorious.

The fronts are spectacular.

Re: Highborn Playing Cards - Live on KS

Ahhhhhh, it's all kind of embarrassing...Please just bear in mind this was a uni project I did whilst learning design. Phoenix Apocalypse Playing Cards To be honest, I like these a lot more than the current deck on Kickstarter, for the most part. I think I like the back of the tuck box better on th...

Arrco Tahoe

Arrco Tahoe Club Playing Cards - Red & Blue (2011: USPCC) Two Sentence Summary: This is a performance deck with some collectible qualities to it, not least of which is price. It uneasily straddles that line, as I don't think the handling justifies a higher price for a performance deck and it lo...

Re: Highborn Playing Cards - Live on KS

I like just about everything except the card backs. I wish they duplicated the tuck box's color scheme instead of going monochromatic. The design isn't interesting enough for me without the contrasting colors.

My favorite is C. Maybe making the other elements within the circle that are red (other than the lines and arrows connected to them) gold? I also like the pips in gold.

Re: One Way Decks VS Two Ways Decks ?

Completely depends for me. A performance deck (in my case magic) for me should either be two way or extremely subtly one way. But I like collecting decks and for those I don't care and often prefer two way.

Re: My Deck Reviews

I'm going to approach this from a different perspective, using one thread with mini-reviews focused on the usual parts of a card deck (tuck box, backs, faces, handling) but also a couple of random things important to...

Re: Greetings and salutations!

Thanks everyone! I've totally become addicted, but fortunately (for my wallet) I'm now slowing down a bit. The key is not to explore on ebay... Stuff pops up related to what you're looking at, you discover whole new distributors/producers of card decks, and boom, wallet gets thinner.

Re: Women Warriors through history

Wow, I like these a lot! Instabuy for me if it pops up on Kickstarter!

The only thing I might suggest is adding a third subtle color to the tuck box (fourth I guess counting black). Maybe the suit symbols at the top and the Made in the USA at the bottom in wine or green?

Re: Chronos by Lotrek (Oath Playing Cards)

I got mine! Just one deck. I generally like it a lot. A minor oddity is that the values and pips on the front look a bit 'fuzzy' to my eyes due to the somewhat unusual borders. Note they actually are not fuzzy, just appear so to me unless I look closely. One of the finishes I like in my magic tricks...

Gentleman (Bicycle) Playing Cards - Anyone else love these?

Hi all, I purchased a few decks a few years ago when I got the first stirrings of interest in doing some magic. As is often the case, my interest waned fairly quickly only to return this year in a big way. I've learned quite a few magic tricks, even performed some for family and friends, but primari...

Re: 2019 'Deck of the Year' Awards: DISCUSSION

I'd like to advise to take Charlemagne off the nomination list as it's not delivered and likely to be a scam I have received my decks from the creator. Not a scam but the project got screwed when the customs on the Russian-Estonian border seized the decks and does not release them. That however doe...

Greetings and salutations!

Hello all, I've gotten into the world of magic primarily, recently (at the ripe old age of 49). It's something I can practice a bit while taking care of a toddler (double lifts, shuffles, etc) as opposed to my larger projects. I'm also a huge RPGer and board gamer. Probably my Top 5 current favorite...
