Re: Why do you collect?
Extremely interesting. Thank you so much for posting this. I see some of the psychoanalysis as bunk. But I usually do. Freud with his love of holding in fecal matter and mommy issues and all. Still I know where my collecting addiction comes from. And it is psychological. OCD runs in the family. My f...

Re: Viceroys now live on Kickstarter
I am unfortunately thrown off to much by the back. The difference from front to back is so "off putting" for me to enjoy the cards. I would back these in a heart beat if the back art matched the beauty (and color) of the front art. But anyways, I like this and I hope that it does not remin...

Re: HANA - Steve Minty deck - KS on Feb 3, 2017
These definitely are beautiful. One of Steve's best so far (IMO). I was not expecting these to be usable Hanafuda cards. They were always advertised "in the style of". This does lead me to my one complaint. I wish he had gone with more of a "in the style of" for the court cards a...

Re: Bicycle Runic Royalty Playing Cards now live on KS
I like the art style. I think a little more work needs to go into fitting the images in more uniformly. Some cards have a lot more white space than others. Unfortunately jokers will often make or break a deck for me. And this joker definitely breaks it for me. It isn't that the art on it is bad as I...

These arrived today.
I will be selling all of these as well as my other Erik Mana decks in the sales section if anyone wants them.
I have no use for this crap in my collection.

He however is not an artists. He is a very talented artist and I find it insulting for you to say he isn't, both as someone who respects him as an artist and as an artist myself. I would argue that he is an incredibly talented artist and that it is evidenced in the work that he does, even long befo...

Re: 2016 UC Decks of the Year Contest?
I too think we should drop the idea of series. Due to series often being put out over time (Time which may span more than a year) Also who can say when a series is actually done. Does one artist win multiple years because they keep putting out amazing decks in a ongoing series. As I am not a flouris...

Re: Legal Tender - By Jackson Robinson -- LIVE on Kickstar
Two points which to tackle first 1. Jackson is a designer with amazing artistic talent. He however is not an artists. Maybe he was too ambitious, but unless costs get too prohibitive, I think there are better options than just scrapping the holographic strips as I mentioned in my earlier post on thi...

They throw shit to the wall and it always sticks. I always found this quote funny. It is suppose to mean that the good things will stick or be valued. Gold is often used as the high standard for value (gold medals , Gold club membership, etc.. ) However Gold doesn't stick to the wall You know what ...

It really is a shame what they did with these.
I really liked the first set
sure they were simple but they were nice and they worked great for games like hand and foot.
the worst thing they did to them though IMO was putting the marking system on them.

Great
I have been working almost a year on my "Pirate Zombie Cthulhu Steampunk Day of the Dead deck " (with extra skulls on the back) deck and now I find out no one will want it unless it is minimalist.
Gee Wiz ... some collectors can never be satisfied.

Endblade
You can find them on Ebay pretty easily.
Many people try to take advantage of the fact that Erik has been so poor at business.
But, there is a set up right now for pretty reasonable.
Me I am still hoping I actually receive my pledge rewards. Before I break down and buy one from Ebay.

Cute acronyms aside, I don't agree with you taking a position, regardless of the position. In your soda analogy I think that it would be up the the soda companies to decide if they needed to take action or not, as well as with the Gatorback analogy that decision is left to David Blaine, even on her...
