Seems like free work to me. The brick costs them what, $20 in production costs? Cards don't pay bills. It rubs me the wrong way when people try to get designers to work for free. These remind me a lot of The Name of the Wind playing cards. Very similar style.

I just realised its MPC as well. Now that wouldn't necesarily bother me, but premium prices for MPC standard quality might make me rethink this.
I love the cards though and agree he is an incredible artist.
