Re: Market Manipulation Playing Cards - Live on KS on May 10th
I really like the design and effort that's gone into this fully custome deck even with one-way full bosy courts. Have backed but it does look like will struggle to fund. Challenging times I fear. Thanks for the support Strag :) Quick note in case you missed it: the Bull Edition is full one way figu...

Re: Market Manipulation Playing Cards - Live on KS on May 10th
Thanks for posting and good luck :D Thanks for fixing the post! :) I just finished my second year in finance, might have to get these lol It's a very fascinating world! We did kind of go with a bit of a hyperbole in the deck though, don't want to set excessive expectations :D Make Ken Griffin a Jok...

I am planning to launch at 5pm CET / 11am ET / 8am PT. Here the prelaunch link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1726607122/mar...

NOW LIVE: Guns, Jazz & Whiskey
Hi forum! Sharing our project, now live on Kickstarter: Guns, Jazz & Whiskey. Those of you who have a good memory will remember this from last year -it is indeed a relaunch. We are very close to the goal (actually, we had hit the goal, but someone backed out). The project tries to portray our vi...

Re: Guns, Jazz & Whiskey in Lower East Side - KS
BTW out of curiosity, did you receive the email today? Because KS sent me the good luck email for starting the campaign about an hour ago, and it seems like a few people are coming to the project right now Yes, I received the notification about an hour ago (plus 25 other Kickstarter mails). I knew ...

The relaunch is live. Did anyone on the watchlist get the email notification? Thanks for posting the new campaign! Re: Guns, Jazz & Whiskey in Lower East Side - KS
The backgrounds on the spade courts are definitely an improvement. Much better than having them standing in a void. Thanks! That was a frequent feedback here on the forum and elsewhere. We actually also reworked the other background deck, both by making the golden background bigger and by cutting o...

Re: Guns, Jazz & Whiskey in Lower East Side - KS
Hi all! I hope it is ok to bump this thread, it feels like a better idea than creating a new one - please feel free to delete if it is not. So sadly we didn't hit our goal in March, due to both a few mistakes in the design and campaign, and to a rough overall global situation. This Saturday we will ...

Re: Guns, Jazz & Whiskey in Lower East Side - KS
WHITE SPACE: I cannot disagree here either. Here the designer took a quite strong stance when I brought the issue up (you can see in the Custom Deck Drafting Board section the topic). She thinks that figures needed to be airy, because that was the style back then, and any more background would have...

Re: Guns, Jazz & Whiskey in Lower East Side - KS
Hi all, creator here! I have been thinking whether I wanted to write on here or leave the topic creep-free :D But since I have received similar comments on different outlets, I thought I'd share here too: - TUCK CASE. The tuck case is inspired to many (we are talking 10+) different signs of those ti...

Re: Codename Project Cleo - feedback welcome!
Hi all! So, we went through a few ideas for the back. Here some examples. We have our favorite, but I am receptive of any feedback as always! https://i.ibb.co/wS04z5D/Asset-1.png We thought about something more complex, but I feel like, in order to be in line with the style it needs to be simple. He...

Re: Codename Project Cleo - feedback welcome!
I am more confident I can sell 400 decks at $17-18 than 500 at $14-$15. Interesting. I would have though vice versa but that is solely a guess from my site. I didn't do any market research so take it with a grain of salt. I feel like some collector's might be turned of by a higher deck prize. I agr...

Re: Codename Project Cleo - feedback welcome!
I guess I don't feel like thinking too hard or crunching all the numbers, but if foil is $2 per deck, why does it add $5 per deck to begin the campaign with it? Sent from my S10+ using Tapatalk Good question, I'll try not to be excessively boring: I usually (and I think most do this) put the fundin...

Re: Codename Project Cleo - feedback welcome!
Alright! I would like to pick your brain on a topic that is not usually discussed by creators, price - since I'm here asking for feedback, might as well do the whole thing. I am pondering whether to release a tuck with or without foil. Here the situation: foil costs north of $2000 on 1000 decks, so ...

Re: Codename Project Cleo - feedback welcome!
Hey guys! Updating with some of the art. Please disregard the golden background, we are in the process of working on a better solution for the white space that I plan to share soon! So, as said, the idea is a 1920 art deco themed deck. The name will be Guns, Jazz and Whiskey. Originally I wanted to ...

Re: Apology
I'll give you my two cents as a new designer. Asking for feedback on the internet is always scary, because you pour your heart out on a project and nobody but you knows the amount of time and energy and courage it takes. This is why it is so hard to accept what you think is undeserved criticism. On ...

Many many congratulations to all the winners! A lot of cool decks last years!
I just noticed I forgot to opt out of the giveaway - not used to winning often anyways I would like to do so if still possible!

Re: Codename Project Cleo - feedback welcome!
How did I not see this yet? It could be excellent. Definitely don't cut any of the body, art deco was very much about full elegant figures. The issue with the first draft wasn't so much the detail as the detail being disjointed, like separate elements rather than a cohesive whole of different parts...

Re: Codename Project Cleo - feedback welcome!
Thanks a lot to both of you! That's why I do this, when you spend too much time on something it becomes hard to be objective in judging it :) So, from both messages, what I understand is that the background needs to have a more horizontal orientation. I agree that white space is a bit too much, we w...

It is an acrylic pour painting. The hardest part is getting the paint consistency right. However, for someone without much of an artistic talent like myself, it is a great method for getting some really cool results. Re: Codename Project Cleo - feedback welcome!
I like the court figures and the background designs alone. I am not sure the low detail figures quite fit with the more detailed background. I am also not a fan of the harsh line separating the 2 halves of the court figures. Of course that could be just because they are early designs. I also don't ...

I would also advice against declaring a lower price than the ticket price, especially if you are a professional seller. Praised be, that 100% of Asian professinal sellers and 95% of the US professional sellers don’t care what a professional seller should do. :D Oh well, who has not done at least on...

Re: sending cards internationally
Generally speaking, import fees are a buyer's issue, you are not supposed to care. In the future I would state that clearly, though, if not already specified as for example it is on eBay. Most European countries can charge custom fees if the item value is above 22 euros (with some differences among ...

After a long, long month, last night we hit 100%! Thank you to everyone that was there with positive or negative comments!
I'll leave the celebrations for when everything is set in stone. Now the mission impossible is trying to hit the first stretch goal!
